New Life Christian Fellowship began with a simple vision: to be a church where people could encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and make a difference in the world around them.
In 1991, four families stepped out in faith and established the church's charter, laying the foundation for what would become New Life Christian Fellowship. Their desire was to create a Christ-centered church committed to biblical truth, authentic community, and reaching people with the Gospel.
In 1993, Pastor Mark Adcock was called to serve as the church's pastor. During those early years, the congregation met in storefront locations in downtown Fortville, first on Main Street and later in a former soda fountain shop. Though the church did not yet have a permanent home, God continued to bless and grow the ministry.
As the congregation expanded, property was purchased on State Road 234, and construction began on the church's current facility. After years of prayer, planning, and faithful giving, the first worship services were held in the new building in the fall of 2002.
One of the most significant moments in our history came in 2015 when First Church of God of Greenfield merged with New Life Christian Fellowship. This partnership strengthened the ministry, expanded the church family, and positioned New Life for greater impact throughout Hancock County and beyond.
After more than three decades of faithful ministry, Pastor Mark Adcock announced his retirement plans in 2026. On February 22, 2026, the congregation voted to call Pastor Nick Holliday as the next Lead Pastor of New Life Christian Fellowship. Pastor Mark officially retired at the end of March 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the life of the church while celebrating the legacy of faithful leadership that helped shape New Life into what it is today.
Today, New Life Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational church committed to helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and live on mission. We strive to be a welcoming church where people from all walks of life can encounter God's grace and truth. Our worship is contemporary, our teaching is firmly rooted in Scripture, and our passion is to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
While we are grateful for God's faithfulness throughout our history, we believe our story is still being written. As we look to the future, our prayer is that New Life Christian Fellowship will continue to be a place where lives are transformed by the Gospel, disciples are made, families are strengthened, and Jesus is glorified in everything we do.
The best chapters of our story are not behind us—they are still ahead.
