Join Us In 52 Weeks Of Prayer

Each week during our prayer time we will highlight a specific group in our community (local law enforcement, schools, hospitals, military, government leaders, foster care/DCS, farmers, missionaries, etc.) as is an intentional way for our congregation to remain prayerful, outwardly focused, and unified as we intercede for our community and beyond.

This week in our 52-Week Prayer Focus, we are lifting up one of the missionaries and mission organizations we support. We are grateful for the ways God is working not just in our community, but around the world—through people and ministries faithfully serving in His name.

This week, we are praying for CarePortal and the incredible work happening through churches and organizations serving vulnerable children and families in Hancock County and beyond.

CarePortal is a ministry platform that connects local churches with real-time needs from children and families in crisis. Through partnerships with the Department of Child Services, schools, case workers, and community organizations, churches are given opportunities to respond directly to practical needs such as beds, food, clothing, transportation, furniture, childcare items, and family support.

One of the major goals of CarePortal is helping strengthen families and prevent children from entering foster care whenever possible by surrounding struggling families with practical support, encouragement, and the love of Jesus.

Our church is currently part of the CarePortal network and has had opportunities to respond to needs as they arise within our community. We are thankful for the chance to serve families in tangible ways and demonstrate the compassion of Christ through action.

🙏 How to Pray

👨‍👩‍👧 Vulnerable Children & Families
Pray for children and families experiencing crisis, instability, poverty, trauma, or hardship. Ask God to provide safety, hope, healing, and support during difficult seasons.

⛪ Churches Responding Through CarePortal
Pray for the churches involved in CarePortal throughout Hancock County and Indiana—that they would respond with compassion, generosity, wisdom, and the love of Jesus.

🤝 Family Preservation & Foster Care Prevention
Pray that CarePortal would continue helping strengthen families and meet needs before situations become deeper crises. Ask God to use these efforts to keep families together whenever safely possible.

🙌 Volunteers & Community Partners
Pray for volunteers, case workers, foster families, social workers, and community partners serving through CarePortal. Ask God to encourage and strengthen them as they care for vulnerable people.

💛 Our Church’s Involvement
Pray that our church would continue to respond faithfully to opportunities to serve families in need. Ask God to help us remain compassionate, generous, and attentive to the needs around us.

✝ Gospel Impact
Pray that every act of care would point people toward Jesus—that families would not only receive practical help, but also experience hope, dignity, encouragement, and the love of Christ.
