Our Beliefs

NLCF is a bible based church.

We seek to know Christ, serve Christ and proclaim Christ all based on sound Biblical teaching.

Learn more about what we believe:

Bible

All Scripture is God-breathed.

God continues to reveal himself powerfully, by his Spirit, through his Word, the Bible.

We are committed to preaching, teaching and understanding the Bible; and humbly responding to it in obedience. (2 Tim 3:16-17)

Prayer

Prayer is a gift of God for all those adopted into His family, through Jesus.

We are committed to prayer as an expression of our dependent relationship with God – both individually and collectively. (Luke 11:2-4; Col 4:2)

Proclaiming Christ

God desires all people to be saved through trusting in Christ and submitting to his Lordship, obeying him in all things.

We are committed to equipping people and encouraging them to present the Lord Jesus by word and deed. (1 Tim 2:3-5, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 3:15)

Gathering

In Christ, God has brought us into His family and encourages us to gather regularly.

As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are committed to meeting together under the Word of God for mutual encouragement in godliness (Hebrews 10:25; Eph 2:19-22)

Serving

Christ served us by giving His life for us and Christ continues to give gifts to all His people.

We are committed to serving Christ by encouraging all people to use their gifts for the benefit of others and building of God’s kingdom (Mark 10:45; 1 Cor 12:4-7, Eph 4:11-13)

Partnership

God is growing His Kingdom for His glory.

We are committed to the growth of God’s kingdom by training and sending out workers, and partnering with other Christians, locally and globally. We will express our partnership, prayerfully and practically (Matt 9:37-38; Romans 10:14-16; Phil 4:16)

Relationships

God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – dwells in perfect relationship with Himself.

All in Christ are brought into that relationship. We are committed to relationships characterized by selfless love, integrity, accountability and unity, expressing our oneness in Christ. Our words and actions are to be consistent with God’s Word and above reproach. We are committed to speaking the truth in love. (Eph 4:1-3, 15; Phil 2:14-16)
