What Is A Christian?

A Christian is someone who puts their trust in Jesus. It's that simple.

Knowing they need forgiveness for all they have done wrong, a Christian trusts that Jesus' death is adequate to cover the
punishment they deserve (2 Corinthians 5:21) Trusting in Jesus' death means that we can come freely before God,
accepted as His child and confident of his welcome and his willingness to help us (Romans 8:15; Hebrews 4:15,16).

We want your visit to New Life Christian Fellowship to be a relaxed and worthwhile experience as you join with us to learn more about our great God and all he has done for us.

Is NLCF affiliated with a denomination?

New Life is a non-denominational Christian church. We cooperate with with the Church of God in Anderson and have friends and partners from various denominations throughout, but we have chosen to be non-denominational and will continue to remain non-denominational.

When Are The Worship Services?

On Sundays we have two worship services:
both services include dual sunday school classes meeting in designated rooms around the church.
For more about our sunday school classes and ministries, visit the NLCF Ministries page .

8.55am - this service is for those who like to get up early and get free coffee!  This service usually lasts until 10.10am with musical worship, prayer, an in-depth bible lesson from Pastor Mark Adcock, with a time to meet with your family in Christ while having an intense worship with God.

10.10am - this is a time of fellowship with free coffee and usually free food!  At many points there are guest musicians who play in the sanctuary in between our two services.

10.35am - this is a family service, with kids church (for children in kindergarten through 5th grade) and includes a video hook-up in another room for anyone who needs to sneak out of service (for example, moms with crying babies).
This service usually ends around noon and includes musical worship, prayer, an in-depth bible lesson from Pastor Mark Adcock, with a time to meet with your family in Christ while having an intense worship with God.

Are Kids Welcome @ NLCF?

Jesus loves kids and so do we! At our 10.40am Sunday service kids can attend kids church - including songs, drama,
Science experiments, and games themed around a Bible story each week..

Kids join the adults for the start of the service, and goes with Pastor Tina Kerfoot until the end of the service.
Parents are most welcome to join their children at children's church.

We also provide a nursery during both services as well as offering Children ages 2- Preschool, which meets to play and learn in one of our classrooms during both services.  This is a time of experiential learning with special emphasis on the Bible stories.

Sunday School takes place for all children's classes during both services.  For more information on children's sunday school classes, ask a hostess at NLCF.

What Should I Wear To A Worship Service?

This is one of the most common questions people ask. We do not have a standard church dress code.
We attract people from all ages and a variety of backgrounds, so come as you are.
We look forward to seeing you, not what you are wearing.

How Can I Serve @ NLCF?

There's a lot that happens at our church each week - and not just on Sundays!
If you would like to serve the people at church and in the community, there are many ways to get involved.

As a first step, check out the Ministries page - this lists a range of activities that take place within the church - for people here and beyond, as well as within the community. You can then contact us if you'd like to serve in one of these areas, or if you have an idea of your own.

On a Sunday there are lots of different ways you can get involved, including welcoming, preparing supper for youth group, greeting those who walk in our doors, operating the sound board, computer, camera,  or singing and playing music as part of the band, clean-up after church, and much more. Again, we encourage you to contact us if you'd like to serve in one of these areas.
