Children’s Ministries
We offer a children’s worship experience for children in kindergarten through 5th grade
each week during the first hour. In it, we use skits, Bible reading, songs,
prayer times, science experiments, and more to teach the lesson that Pastor
Mark is also covering that week. This year our church is Journeying Together
through the Old Testament and everyone is on the same lesson each week so
families can study it together throughout the week and help their kids figure
out how to apply the lessons learned at church to the nitty gritty of their
daily lives.
During second service Kindergarten through 3rd grade children meet in the sanctuary,
sitting with their parents for the first part of the corporate service before
leaving to go to their own children’s sermon experience in the trailer outside
the northwest door. It includes the Bible story and dramas, science
experiments, and games all themed around the Bible story for that week. Fourth
grade students and up get to stay in the corporate service with the rest
of our church family to learn the Bible lesson. A note page specifically
designed for these children is available for each week on the table in the
narthex. Any child in kindergarten through third grade is also welcome and even
encouraged to stay with their parents in the corporate service if the family
desires that.
Don’t forget to pick up a “homework” packet from the table in the narthex
with ideas for all ages for how to continue to unpack, reteach, and apply this
week’s Bible lesson.
