Ron Farmer began ministry with New Life Christian Fellowship in the fall of 2007 as a Biblical Counseling Consultant and was brought into staff as Discipleship Pastor in July of 2008. Ron is an ordained minister who began ministry in 1975. Ron is currently working in the area of Discipleship training and Biblical Counseling. He has served as Christian Minister with congregation in Mt. Auburn, Illinois; Worthington, Indiana; Columbia City, Indiana; and Charlottesville, Indiana. For the past 14 years Ron has served in the area of Discipleship Training and Biblical Counseling at Park Chapel Christian Church in Greenfield in conjunction with employment with the State of Indiana and retirement in 2003.

Ron and Sharon Farmer have three adult children: Keith of Ft. Wayne, IN; Chris of Greenfield, IN;  Julia of Traverse City, Michigan; and four grandchildren. Sharon and Ron will celebrate their 47th wedding anniversary in November 2009. Both Ron and Sharon grew up in the community of Seneca, Illinois which is located in north central Illinois. Ron ’s life employment history includes: railway section work; a natural gas utility employee, Nursing Home Administration; carpentry; a Medicaid Caseworker for the state of Indiana until retirement in 2003; and 15 years of preaching ministry in Illinois and Indiana. Some of the churches that Ron served were to small to support the family and employment was held to meet that need.

Ron began serving as a Biblical Counseler in 2001 and was certified with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and the International Association of Biblical Counselors in 2001.
